How do CRAVE Bucks work?

This year, CRAVE is moving to an all-digital payment system for food and non-alcoholic beverage purchases inside the festival. Bars will accept Digital CRAVE Bucks as well as cash and cards. We recommend creating your account in advance to save time at the festival.

To start an account, click HERE and enter your email address. You will receive an email with a link to create your CRAVE account. Once you've signed in, you can add any denomination of CRAVE Bucks to your account.

Use the QR code attached to your account any and everywhere at CRAVE to purchase all of your favorite food and drinks - vendors will scan your code directly from your mobile device. You can also transfer CRAVE Bucks from your account to your friends and family if you want to share the fun!

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Food vendors can only accept Digital CRAVE Bucks - no cash or card sales will be permitted at food vendors.

Bars will accept Digital CRAVE Bucks as well as cash and credit/debit cards.

You can add more Digital CRAVE Bucks to your account from your mobile device at any point during the festival. While Digital CRAVE Bucks are non-refundable, you can easily transfer leftover currency to a friend.

If you don't want to use a mobile device at the festival, no problem! Visit our Info Tent, located at the center of the festival, to activate your account and receive a paper card with a QR code to access your CRAVE Bucks. Be sure to hold on to your card!

Box offices at the admission gate can accept cash, card or pre-purchased admission tickets.

How many Crave Bucks should I buy?

Average per adult: $30

Average per child: $15-20

Average per family of 4: $100

Does Crave support a charity?

CRAVE partners with several charities during the festival, with GreenHouse 17 receiving the largest portion of festival proceeds of all of our non-profit partners. CRAVE has contributed $94,000 to GreenHouse 17 and $3,580 to the HomeBuilders' Care Association. In addition, Dress for Success, Lexington Humane Society and On The Move Art Studio have also benefited.

Are there kids activities?

CRAVE is a family-friendly event with lots of activities for every age group! Inflatables, games, face painting, giant board games, books and kids' art projects are among the activities geared toward the kiddos. Live Green Lexington will also offer no-charge activities.

What's the deal with the car show?

The annual CRAVE Classic Car Show will take place 1-5 p.m. each day. A Judge's Choice and a People's Choice trophy will be issued each day - festival attendees are encouraged to check out all the cars and vote for your favorite each day! This is a laid-back, casual show and there's no need to have a concours-level car to enter. Please click HERE if you are interested in showing your car. There is no charge, and you get in FREE!

Who created CRAVE?

CRAVE is a 2-day food + music festival produced by Smiley Pete Publishing, the independent Lexington-based company behind Chevy Chaser and Southsider Magazines, Business Lexington, Lexington Burger Week, Bluegrass BBQ Fest, Lexington Pizza Week, Lexington Boutique Week,  CRAVE Taco Week and tadoo.com. The festival started in 2013 and has grown ever since!

Covid Information

We ask that you not attend if any of the following is true for you or anyone in your party:

  • Within 14 days before attending the festival you have tested positive, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19;

  • Within 48 hours prior to attending the festival, you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention);

Additional Information:

Bring your mask and hand sanitizer! At this time, Crave is recommending masking when in close contact with others, for fully vaccinated patrons in outdoor spaces at the festival. Unvaccinated and immune-compromised patrons should mask at all times, when not eating or drinking. Crave is providing numerous shade tents at the festival that are open-sided and considered outdoor spaces. Crave is set on 7 acres of outdoor space, which allows plenty of space for social distancing. Social distancing is encouraged, and there will be reminder signs. We will have increased hand sanitizer stations on-site, and our cleaning crews will do frequent cleanings in high touch areas. We recommend masking in enclosed areas (only areas enclosed are restrooms and portals). We have increased hand washing stations and highly encourage frequent hand washing throughout the duration of the festival.

Our new all-digital Crave Bucks system will allow for touch-free exchange of currency for food, which will all be purchased via a QR code on mobile devices. Attendees are encouraged to start their Crave Bucks account in advance to save time at the festival, and can add to their account via their mobile device at any time during the festival at cravefestival.app. Visit our website at www.cravelexington.com and follow on social media for all updates.

These policies are subject to change, in accordance with state and local guidelines and changing circumstances. We will be updating procedures as necessary as we get closer to August 14th.

If you have questions about the COVID-19 vaccines or need resources to find a vaccination location near you, please check out www.vaccinefinder.org.
